Kruger Graduated from the University of Canberra as an Exercise Physiologist with a Bachelor of Applied Science majoring in Sports Medicine and Human Physiology. He has close to two decades of coaching experience at the highest level. His vision of running a 7’s team was initiated by one of his friend’s Mr. Craig Morgan in 2018, who was then the General Manager for Two Blues Rugby Club (founder of Central Coast Seven’s).This inspired Kruger to set up the Western Sydney 7’s Academy with the Vision to up skill and expose Players that might be missed by the System.
As more players were interested and got involved from all other parts of Sydney, it then changed to Sydney 7’s Academy but is now called “Roache Global 7’s Academy”.
Kruger’s looking forward to work with FlyHi Sports Rugby Academy bringing his passion, energy and focus to develop, upskill and empower the youth of Sri Lanka through rugby.
Among his many achievements one of the aspects, he cherishes the most is being able to coach a few players who have played for Australia in the HSBC World Series and two players who have gone to represent Tonga and also Samoa. Moreover, he has also helped a multitude of players graduate to Shute Shield 1st Grade, State Level and to the MLR in the USA.

Former New Zealand Sevens star Orene Aii joins Flyhisports Rugby Academy Coaching Advisory panel
Former Top Professional Rugby Player & Renowned Coach, Orene Ai’I joins FlyHiSports Rugby Academy Coaching Advisory panel from July 2024.
Ai’i has carved out an impressive rugby career since making his provincial debut with Auckland in 1998. He won a Super Rugby title with the Blues in 2003 along with multiple Sevens World Series crowns with the New Zealand side between 1999 and 2005.
Along with his team triumphs, Ai’i was also named Sevens World Series player of the year for the 2004-05 season, before he moved away from New Zealand to take up deals in Japan and France.
After heading to San Francisco in 2016 to join the first professional rugby competition in the US, Ai’i eventually transitioned to coaching with the intent of building a resume that could one day lead to an international job.
His first steps involved both club and high school rugby before higher opportunities started presenting themselves, leading to a role as skills and academy coach with current MLR champions, the LA Giltinis, last year. Further he is the founder and Director of NXT LVL Rugby Academy in New Zealand.
During his stay in Sri Lanka he will assist the Academy in formulating the structure and share his wealth of knowledge with the local coaching team and the academy students.
